Make Good Habits: The Habit of Giving

Giving is a habit that must be learned either by observing the actions of givers…

…or by receiving instructions from those who have discovered that the highest possible happiness comes not to the receiver but to the giver.

Jesus saw God as the great giver; Christ was a great giver. Jesus encouraged his disciples to be generous givers.

Matthew 6:19-21 (ESV)

“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
